# A-Share Data in Duet
 Duet is Claude’s always-on agent. It inherits the user’s own Claude connectors; add a custom connector in Claude first, then Duet can query A-share data.

## Duet has no separate MCP settings
 There is no standalone MCP configuration inside Duet. Add a custom connector in **Claude** first, then let Duet use connectors on that Claude account.

## Before you start

 The user’s own Claude plan with Duet access (Pro/Max, research-preview region)

 An ashareapi API key; use a separate read-only key

 Verify the key: `GET /v1/quote?code=sh600519`

## Add a custom connector in Claude

 Open Claude → **Settings → Connectors**

 Click **Add custom connector**

 Enter `https://api.ashareapi.com/mcp`

 Set `Authorization: Bearer `, or complete the auth flow shown

 Save and confirm the connector is enabled

 Claude custom connectors may use OAuth. If the page cannot set a header, use `?key=` as a fallback; prefer headers in production.

## Use it from Duet
 Open Duet, confirm it inherited the connector from Claude, then ask.

## FAQ
 Can Duet configure MCP by itself?
 No. Duet uses connectors on the user’s Claude account; add the custom connector in Claude first.

 Does the developer need a Claude subscription?
 No. The developer only provides the MCP endpoint; users bring their own Claude account.

 Bearer or Query Key?
 Prefer a Bearer header in the Claude connector. Use `?key=` only when the client cannot set headers.

 Why is Duet missing?
 Duet is a Claude Pro/Max research preview with regional and waitlist limits; confirm account eligibility.
