A-Share Data for Personal Agents

Today, Grok Bot, Muse, Dots and Duet can do real work, but they do not understand A-shares by default. Connect ashareapi over MCP and ask for quotes, financials and K-lines from a personal agent on your phone.

Bottom line: all five connect, through different entries

Today and Grok Bot add a custom MCP directly in the client; Muse uses a custom connector; Dots uses a ChatGPT connector; Duet uses a Claude connector. All five use the same endpoint https://api.ashareapi.com/mcp with Authorization: Bearer <ashareapi Key>.

What is a personal agent?

A personal agent is an AI Agent that keeps context, connects to external apps and executes multi-step work. Unlike a chatbot, it calls tools, browses, handles files and keeps working after you leave.

Examples: Today, Grok Bot, Meta Muse, OpenAI Dots and Claude Duet. They are built to finish work, not to add another chat window.

Personal agents are hot; A-share data is not connected

In late 2026, Grok Bot (August), Meta Muse (September), OpenAI Dots (September) and Claude Duet (October) launched in quick succession. They can read email, schedule work, browse and run multi-step tasks, but none of them understands A-share data by default.

That is an interface problem, not a model problem: the agent needs a tool for quotes, financials and K-lines. MCP is that interface.

One configuration

MCP config
URL: https://api.ashareapi.com/mcp
Transport: Streamable HTTP
Auth: Authorization: Bearer <ashareapi Key>
  • Public HTTPS required; localhost is not supported
  • Paste only the key in a Bearer field
  • Use a separate read-only key for each agent
  • Use ?key= only when the client cannot set headers

What you can ask

The agent understands the request and organizes the answer; ashareapi supplies the data. Every number should trace back to an API field, not model memory.

FAQ

What is a personal agent?

A persistent AI Agent that connects apps and executes multi-step work, such as Today, Grok Bot, Muse, Dots and Duet.

Can I use it without one of those accounts?

No. MCP is the connection protocol; you need your own Today / Grok / Muse / ChatGPT / Claude account. We provide the data and MCP service.

Which client should I start with?

Use the one you already have; if none, Today is the most direct starting point.

Can it trade automatically?

No. We provide read-only data and research tools, not brokerage access, auto-trading or return promises.
