Connect A-share data in WorkBuddy

WorkBuddy works. Add a custom connector under Connectors with a URL and headers, then click Trust once — that is all.

Setup

1Add a custom connector

In the left sidebar open 专家·技能·连接器 (Experts / Skills / Connectors) → Connectors → Custom connector (top right) → Add MCP, then paste:

For free tools only, delete the headers line. You can rename ashareapi to anything recognisable, as long as it does not collide with another connector.

2Click Trust once

After saving, go back to the connector management page, find ashareapi and click Trust — without this the server never becomes active.

⚠️ If the status does not change, refresh the page and click Trust again.

3Just ask

Back in the chat, ask normally. WorkBuddy picks the tools itself — no manual endpoint selection.

Paid tools? Add a key

These 6 free tools need no key: quote / K-line / hot list / market overview / breadth / docs search. Financials, fund flow, dragon-tiger list, sectors, factor screening and backtests need a key (trial from ¥9.9, all 86 tools). Put it in headers:

⚠️ The name must be Authorization and the value must start with Bearer (one space after Bearer). A typo leaves free tools working but returns unauthorized for paid ones.

What to ask once it works

  • What is the price of 600667 right now?
  • Pull the last 60 daily candles for 600667
  • How is the market doing today?
  • What is the fund flow for 太极实业 (600667) today?
  • Find stocks with PE below 20 and ROE above 15
  • What did institutions buy on the dragon-tiger list today?

FAQ

Nothing happens and tools cannot be called.

Nine times out of ten the Trust step was skipped. Go back to the connector management page, click Trust once, then refresh.

Is the entry the same in the China and international builds?

Both live under Connectors: 专家·技能·连接器 → Connectors → Custom connector (top right) → Add MCP. Wording can differ slightly between builds — look for "Custom connector" and "Add MCP".

Does it work without a key?

Yes. Free tools (quote / K-line / hot list / market overview / breadth / docs search) need no key; the rest do.

The assistant says it cannot find data.

① Make sure the URL ends with /mcp ② a Chinese message 「匿名每日额度已用完」 means you should add a key ③ stock codes need a market prefix (sh600667 / sz000001 / hk00700).
